New Vegas Loading Screen
By installing this mod you will change all 35 loading screens, almost all loading screens will be replaced by a NCR related loading screen. I also added 1 vault boy, 1 new vegas, and 1 nuka cola loading screen. Can't literally play Fallout: New Vegas anymore. I have tried everything. Pressing continue on the main menu, pressing load, validating game.
My PC isn't really considered a gaming PC by todays standards. (Windows 10, Tried running the game on Compatibility Mode)Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70HzRAM: 8.00 GBSystem Type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-Based ProcessorVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (based on my PC. It's up to date)I could run the game but when I start to 'Load' or 'Continue' it sets me into a loading screen which seems legit enough until the program crashes/stops responding. The save file was from my Windows 7 PC. I take a lot of precautionary measures that even myIT friends don't do (not being mean just being honest). And yes I can guarantee you its not due to the save file being a windows 7 copy of the game. I tried to start a 'New' game.
It shows the classic intro were. Then starts the loading screen then it stops responding.HELP MEIf I should also inform Beth. Software about this.
I have FO3 and FO-NV which were installed on Win7 long before 'upgrading' from Win7 to Win10.I am sill using the saves from Win7 as well. Both FO3 and FO-NV run fine on Win10, but Bethesda game have more than their share of issues. Both have had issues with Win7 as well. FO3 in particular. No point informing Bethesda. If there were something in the game that they could fix, they wouldn't.The game is too old.- Have you also run Steams ' Verify integrity of game cache' tool? Some games require this after upgradingto Win10, and after the major Win10 updates.- If you have not already. Deleting the Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini may help.- If you are using the 4GB fix, don't. The game won't launch on Win10 with this.exe.- I'm not using any Compatibility settings with FO-NV.
FO3 does require Vista sp1 though.- This game was not as big a problem as FO3, but does have it's ups and downs.Last time I checked FO-NV it was crashing when I approached a certain dead body.Today there was no issue with this, but the game crashes my machine when I exit - unless IAlt-TAB out of the game and close it from the Taskbar.- I don't know if my issue is due to 1607 or the recent driver update I did.

As for Fallout 3, 25+ second loads when installed was pretty typical. 'No they don't, loads were fast as hell on Oblivion and FO3 compared to New Vegas.

'I never compared FO3 and Oblivion loading times to NV since I only have NV for the PC. However, the loading times I listed were accurate. I was just pointing out that all games that Bethesda has released on the Gamebryo engine have had long load times. I just did a quick test myself with FO3 installed to the hard drive. Loading a save from the menu took about 22 seconds and loading from Megaton to the Capital Wasteland took about 21 seconds. Oblivion load times were definitely longer than FO3 so the 30 second load time when installed seems accurate.
It is a bit strange that load times increase the longer you play. I've only put in one or two marathon sessions on New Vegas, but had the same issue. But since I rarely play for more than an hour at a time, it hasn't been a problem. I haven't tried clearing the cache. I'll have to see what difference that makes.
Generally my load times aren't more than thirty seconds or so, which isn't bad. Unlike Oblivion, neither Fallout game has had the occasional load symbol pop up just when navigating the open world.
Fallout New Vegas Loading Screen Bug
The weird thing about New Vegas is that some of the areas are very small with short loads going in and long loads coming out. They could have balanced this a bit better than they did, but overall I haven't had long load times and I don't have the game installed on the 360's hard drive. Edit: I do remember long load times in the distant past. I used to boot up games on my Commodore 64 as a kid and then go make breakfast. Sometimes the games were actually loaded by the time I was finished. And no, I'm not joking.:).
